SAI continues to be a leading company in the production of hydraulic motors and related products; founded in 1964, due to the enthusiasm and passion of the Pecorari brothers for mechanical and hydraulic engineering. The brothers used their experience to create the SAICompany which has developed over the years to achieve the success that it can now boast on both national and international markets. 

In 1976, recognizing the importance of innovation within design, the company formed a department dedicated to research and development - which later became independent under the name R & D - to encourage forward thinking solutions and to help guarantee an on-going improvement in overall quality standards.

At the start of the 1980s, the company established a delocalisation strategy for its various production activities which resulted in it setting up several joint ventures abroad. The “exporting” of certain production activities involving local partners, coupled with the technical expertise and know-how of SAI, has contributed to the increased success and growth of the company.
